Kentucky has 8 public universities and the
Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS)
with 16 community and technical colleges. Kentucky's
independent nonprofit sector also includes 18 AIKCU institutions.

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) consists of
